Dream and backup settings should be configured together.
Dream can improve memory quality, but backup is what makes maintenance reversible. Configure backup before scheduling broad maintenance.
Recommended order
- Choose a backup location that survives container rebuilds.
- Run a manual backup.
- Verify restore in a test environment when changing backup settings.
- Keep Dream review conservative until recall quality is stable.
- Run Dream manually before enabling scheduled runs.
- Review Dream suggestions before approving memory changes.
